Thanks for your responses guys, I think I am gonna keep absent from the Cavalier mainly because it doesn't fit my character thematically (my Goliath is afraid of Driving on horses d&d elves and doesn't trust mounts in general for just one lol) so I feel I'll ultimately go with Battle Master.
